COLUMBUS, Ohio (News Talk 1480 WHBC) – An already ugly ad campaign for governor took a turn South on Tuesday, with Democratic candidate Amy Acton’s campaign pushing back on a social media spot featuring her estranged mother urging voters not to support her.
A response ad by Acton’s brother Phil Stearns says “shame on Vivek”, saying he is “not fit to lead”.
The Republican candidate Ramaswamy later in the day took claim for the ad.
A Ramaswamy spokesperson said the information needs to be out there.
Condemnation for the ad was widespread and bipartisan.
